Danielsville, Georgia

Named after Georgia Allen Daniel, General of the fourth division Georgia Militia, Danielsville earned its name as a town in 1817 and later became an official city of Madison County in 1908. This small city is only a 15-minute drive from Athens, Georgia, and filled with local pride.

You’ll find country scenery alongside a historic courthouse as you drive around the first of two roundabouts in the center of town. Filled with local shops to help you pick out your seasonal gardening supplies and home goods, you can take care of small errands and minimal shopping locally. During the holidays the town square is filled with festivals and riding floats to celebrate, allowing you to get to know your neighbors and share a bit of joy.

The city of Danielsville is conveniently located close to Commerce, Ga, and Athens, Ga, allowing you to experience tailgating fun for major sports events as well as fine dining and shopping at the Tanger Outlets. You can take a short drive into both Commerce and Athens for extra activities without spending all day in your care or getting stuck in traffic.
